With us at the MEG: I am a predoc student from Spain completing an Erasmus+ internship under the tutelage of Dr. A. Martínez.

I like to inquire into the systematics, biogeography, evolution and ecology of microscopic animals, especially aquatic mites (Halacaridae & Hydrachnidia, Acari). I am involved in different projects related to understanding the evolution of marine, anchialine, and freshwater interstitial and cave fauna.

Currently, I am producing new data and performing analyses to test the potential value of different groups of microscopic animals (particularly halacarid mites) as models to address eco-evolutionary questions.
